The Island of Forever

Max thought surviving high school was hard, but nothing prepared him for senior year…

Being the awkward kid with anxiety in high school is difficult enough for seventeen-year-old Max Greenfell and it doesn’t help that he has to care for his toddler sister or that his girlfriend is one of the most popular cheerleaders in school. Life isn’t all bad though, being able to spend time with his two best friends, Rylan and Leona ease some of the pressure he’s under, but that all changes when a devastating storm transports him to the fabled Island of Forever–an unchanging utopian paradise where magic and mystery lurk around every corner.

As Max stumbles through a beautiful new world he thought only existed in stories, a malicious shapeshifter lurks within the shadows, waiting for a chance to escape his prison. Samael has been incarcerated for over a decade, but Max’s arrival has weakened the seal that locks him away. In order to restore the island’s balance to ensure the evil cannot be unleashed, Max must find a way to return home.

Seems easy enough, right?

To make his journey more complicated, Max befriends a snarky merman, meets a pistol-wielding fairy, and fights hostile creatures along the way. Returning the island to normalcy will not be an easy task–he will need to dig deep into his heart, open up to his closest friends, and survive an encounter with his greatest foe: himself.
